Updates to USB Drive

Due to my excitement while discovering Ketarin, I set everything up to update one folder - "Tools", on my desktop.  Then I would manually update my USB drive, placing the apps in several appropriate folders.

Tonight, I changed all my destinations to update the USB drive directly - but nothing updated.  [ADDED] While grinding thru the 15 apps, the USB drive light doesn't flicker - doesn't act like it's being read.  This is a known good USB drive.

I restarted Ketarin, and even restarted the computer - still the same.  The orange bars activate, but the drive doesn't flash, and the green checkmarks appear as if everything is already updated.  I even deleted a program (Adobe Reader 9.2) on the USB drive altogether to see if that would stimulate the update, and that didn't work either.

Is there something I'm missing?
